MARS Theatricals was created in 1999 in order to develop and produce new plays and musicals.
Ms.
Danis began her career as a dancer/actress and has performed on
Broadway, in national tours and regional productions. She was a member
of The Atlanta Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, and was on the faculty of
the Lee Strasburg Institute teaching Stage Movement for Actors. As a
choreographer, Ms. Danis has created work for musical theatre, opera
and repertory dance companies.
Amy is a member of the League of Off-Broadway Theaters and Producers, and the League of Professional Theatre Women.
Mr.
Johannes
is also an actor and has performed in NY as well as
regionally, in film and on television. He is a member of the League of
American Theatres and Producers and also sits on the Board of Governors
of New River Dramatists, a not-for-profit venture in Healing Springs,
NC dedicated to developing new works for film, theater and television.
He is also a member of the League of Off-Broadway Theaters and
Producers.
Both Ms. Danis and Mr. Johannes are graduates of the Commercial Theater Institute.
